What are your hours?
The Hope Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm. We are closed on major holidays. Office hours vary on days when providers are in the clinic and patients are seen by appointment only.
Who can become a patient?
The Hope Clinic provides free services to people 18 and older who live in Delaware, have no insurance, and income at or below 300% of the federal poverty guideline. If that sounds like you and you are in need of care, give us a call!
What forms do I need to fill out?
All patients will complete a New Patient Registration Form, a Health Information Consent Form, and a Missed Appointment Agreement. Other documents may be requested and, if relevant, will be discussed with you when you make your appointment.
Can I get a filling or a tooth pulled?
Yes! Our dental providers are able to do fillings, extractions, and other routine dental services.
Can I walk in and be seen by a doctor or dentist?
No, you may not. We are not a walk-in clinic, urgent care center, or emergency room. Our providers volunteer their time, so patients are scheduled around their availability.
I have an emergency. Can I come to the clinic?
No! We do not provide emergency services. All medical and dental staff are volunteers who are at the clinic only at specific time, and the clinic does not have the resources to treat emergencies. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
What services do you provide and how much will it cost me?
We provide non-emergent medical care and dental care. We can make referrals to specialists, can order lab work, diagnostic testing, and provide medications. All of these services are free to qualified patients.
I cannot make my appointment. What should I do?
Please call us as soon as you know you cannot make your appointment and we will assist you in rescheduling. We would like to be respectful of our volunteer providers' time.
I do not speak English. Do you provide services for non-English speaking patients?
Yes! We work with a local interpretation service that allows us to remove language barriers in order to best serve our clients.
How often will I have to renew my application?
At least once a year, or anytime the Clinic requests it. If your income, employment or insurance status changes, please let the Clinic know. It is your responsibility as a Hope Clinic patient to inform us of with updates of your contract information so that we can reach you if needed.
